La serie Intermezzo, come suggerisce il nome, consiste in una carrellata di immagini realizzate durante le mie escursioni in montagna nel periodo compreso tra la fine del progetto "Le mie Montagne", avvenuta nel 2025, e l'inizio ufficiale del progetto "Dolomiti Interiori", al momento in fase di reperimento fondi. Non si tratta quindi di un progetto organico, ma piuttosto di una sequenza delle visioni che di volta in volta hanno accompagnato le mie uscite. In essa si trovano gli elementi che, come di consueto, fanno parte dei miei racconti per immagini (alberi, rocce, neve, acqua), ma, diversamente dai miei lavori usuali, senza un filo conduttore ben preciso, se non il mio "occhio" e quindi quello che mi emoziona dello stare in montagna.
Dal punto di vista tecnico, si tratta nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi di fotografie realizzate nel formato 8x10", su pellicola Fomapan 100 / 200 o Ilford FP4+ / HP5+, utilizzando lenti di focale "normale" per il formato (240mm / 300mm / 360mm) sulla mia fedele StenopeiKa Leonardo MK II. Come sempre sviluppo e scansione sono ad opera del sottoscritto. Ho iniziato a raccogliere queste fotografie nella primavera del 2025 e continuerò fin quando necessario.
Vi ricordo che per tutte le fotografie di questa serie sono disponibili stampe fine-art sia analogiche su carta ai sali d'argento che digitali su carta baritata Ilford. The Intermezzo series, as the name suggests, is a collection of images made during my mountain excursions in the period between the conclusion of the “My Mountains” project in 2025 and the official beginning of the “Intimate Dolomites” project, which is currently in the fundraising phase. It is therefore not an organic project, but rather a sequence of visions that accompanied my outings from time to time. Within it you’ll find the elements that, as usual, are part of my visual storytelling—trees, rocks, snow, water—but unlike my more structured bodies of work, without a precise narrative thread, except for my own “eye” and what moves me when I am in the mountains.
From a technical standpoint, the vast majority of these photographs were made in the 8×10" format, on Fomapan 100 / 200 or Ilford FP4+ / HP5+ film, using “normal” focal length lenses for the format (240mm / 300mm / 360mm) mounted on my faithful StenopeiKa Leonardo MK II. As always, I personally take care of both development and scanning. I began gathering these photographs in the spring of 2025 and will continue for as long as necessary.
All photographs in this series are available as fine‑art prints, both analog silver‑gelatin prints and digital prints on Ilford baryta paper. Sizes range from 16×21 cm up to 120×150 cm.
